Harry enters a new world and finds out that he is not just any wizard. The name Harry Potter is one that everyone knows. He is brought to his new school called Hogwarts, where he makes new friends (and a few enemies), and he learns how to use magic. As Harry learns more about who he really is, he and his friends uncover dangerous secrets and must face something no 11-year-olds should have to face in order to protect everyone in the castle.

Inventive 5th grader Nick Allen one day decides to take his teacher's lesson literally and make a change. He picks a gibberish word and uses it instead of the word pen. Starting with his friends and his grade, he gets other people to say his new word until a whole word war begins at Lincoln Elementary School: Kids (Nick) vs. Teachers (Mrs. Granger). While Nick was warned about Mrs. Granger before he started fifth grade, he still took his chances with her, and it ended up being a pretty unforgettable year.

When Adam Gray died, Paedyn was left to fend for herself. She taught herself how to become a great thief and learned how to always stay hidden. However, when she accidentally saves one of Ilya's princes, Prince Kai, she finds herself in the Purging Trials, fighting not only for her life but also against her heart when she starts to catch feelings for Kai.

Conner, on the other hand, takes pride in being the class clown and often falls asleep in class. The twins recently lost their father, and they both lost a little bit of their spark. When their grandma gifts them the old storybook that she and their dad used to read to them, the twins find themselves in a world where all of their favorite characters are real. The only problem is that the villains are real too. The twins need to get home as fast as possible. But how?

Every year, the Capitol forces each district to send a boy and a girl tribute, or competitor into the Games. The tributes compete in a fight to the death, just for the Capitol's entertainment. Katniss meets Peeta Mellark, the boy tribute from her district, and they take a different approach than many of the other tribute pairs. Katniss and Peeta must decide who to trust and in the end, are faced with an impossible decision.
