Spoiler-free summary

Kaz Brekker, known better as "Dirtyhands", can pick any lock. This story takes place in Ketterdam in the 17th century. Kaz is a criminal, but more importantly, a genius, He finds himself in a bad situation and the only way out is to break into the Ice Court and rescue a scientist who has a secret serum that could destroy the world. If he can do it, the prize is an enormous sum of money, but the risk is as well. Kaz decides this is his only option so he starts assembling a crew. His crew is full of criminals, magicians, and fighters who are all outcasts, but specialists at their own different things. This book twists and turns in a crazy fashion, and tells a really amazing story.

  • I loved this book because it really shows how nothing is impossible, and how you can always keep fighting, no matter what you're up against.

I really enjoyed this book. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys heist-type books that really hook you in.
